Description
Apartments on the ground floor with direct access from the street; vertical point access, one or two units per floor; interior stairwell; stairwells lit by windows.
Apartments face two sides and generally consist of a living/dining space with kitchen units and spacious loggia, or access to the garden on the ground floor, as well as a bedroom and bathroom accessed via a corridor.
Private gardens on ground floor; two-story loggias on upper floor.
The slender volume strictly follows the existing lot structure and tapers to its short side, which faces the Rio Ponte Longo. The design is characterized by a homogeneous use of the red brick, which is also used for the walls along the property lines that establish the volume. All of the other constructional elements such as the roof, the windows, and the banisters are subordinated to this robust plasticity.
