Description
Highly condensed, labyrinthine apartment building with an internal structure of lanes, squares, and shafts.
The Space Blocks result from the addition and combination of cubes to form three-dimensional figures that cannot be subdivided further internally. The Space Blocks can be stacked in variations of different density. This results in a fluid spatial continuum that eliminates the boundaries between inside and outside and generates varied living spaces on different levels.
Spatial structure of terraces and courtyards.
The porosity of the complex (overall density: 50%) permits high density in this hot and humid climate, not least because it makes it possible to provide natural ventilation, shade, and finely articulated exterior spaces.
